Children, ADHD topics of upcoming workshops

“Transforming the Difficult Child,” a workshop for professionals and community leaders, is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 30 at the Fargo Ramada Plaza Suites, 1635 42nd St. S.
The featured speaker is Howard Glasser, founder of Children’s Success Foundation and creator of the Nurtured Heart Approach.
“All Children Flourishing,” a free workshop for parents that features a presentation by Glasser, will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. April 20 at the Ramada. Registration is required by calling (701) 241-5700 or e-mailing diane.langer@ndsu.edu.
The April 30 workshop fee is $89, and continuing education credits and certificates are available. The fee includes a copy of Glasser’s book about children with ADHD, “Transforming the Difficult Child,” breakfast and lunch. To register, call the Cass County Extension at (701) 241-5700.
Glasser’s approach is a set of strategies for children with ADHD and other challenging behaviors to facilitate parenting and classroom success. He has been a featured guest on CNN and a consultant for “48 Hours.”
He is also the author of “The Inner Wealth Initiative” and “You Are Oprah – Igniting the Fires of Greatness.”
